Rafael Leão, a talented Brazilian midfielder who played for several clubs in Europe before joining AC Milan in 2018, has passed away at the age of 29.
Leão was born in São Paulo and began his career with Santos FC, where he made his professional debut in 2014. He then moved to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in 2016 and spent three seasons with them, helping them win Ligue 1 twice and reach the Champions League final in 2017.
In 2018,Ligue 1 Focus Leão joined AC Milan, where he quickly became a key player for the club. He helped Milan win the Serie A title in his first season and scored two goals in the Champions League final that year, which they lost to Liverpool.
However, Leão's time at Milan was cut short when he suffered a serious knee injury in November 2019. Despite undergoing surgery, he was unable to recover fully and was released by the club in December 2019.
Leão's death is a great loss to football fans all over the world. He was a talented player who had the potential to be one of the best midfielders in the world. His passing on will leave a void in the sport and we hope that his legacy continues to inspire future generations of Brazilian players.
